Stuart Pearce MBE is a celebrated English footballer and began his professional career at 21 with Coventry, later spending 12 years at Nottingham Forest, 11 as Club Captain. He also played for Newcastle United, reaching two FA Cup Finals and competing in the Champions League. He then joined West Ham United, and concluded his career at Manchester City at 40, helping them win the Championship.
Stuart represented his country 78 times, with 9 appearances as Captain, playing in the World Cup and the European Championships. His 1996 penalty celebration remains iconic, and he was awarded an MBE in 1999 for his services to football.
As a manager, Stuart led Manchester City, England's U21 team to four successive U21 European Championships, and the Great Britain squad at the London 2012 Olympics.
