Our story

For many years, Close Brothers has provided a leading Broker offering, supported by an incredibly talented and passionate team. Our team covers a wide range of lending capabilities, from specialist cars and sports funding to business-critical assets. This is something we are immensely proud of.

After carefully listening to the invaluable feedback and advice from our Broker partners, who saw the benefits of having a consolidated proposition with all related information in one place, we decided to bring all our capabilities together under one roof. This has created – what we think – is a fantastic ‘one-stop-shop’ for Brokers.

We are confident this has resulted in Brokers being presented with a clear and straightforward proposition of what it means to work with us. We are incredibly excited to write the next chapter in our history together!

Braemar Finance (broker) was founded in 1992 and partners with specialist finance brokers to provide funding to a wide range of professions, including Dentists, Vets, Opticians and Accountants

We're careful lenders too; making decisions that consider risk factors and wider market forces is in everyone's best interest. Our underwriting team is incredibly efficient at writing agreements for a full range of requirements. And if an asset or sector is a bit out of the norm, that’s fine with us because we have a dedicated team of Broker Development Managers who spend time with the broker and their customer to ensure we have all the information we need to offer the best options for everyone involved.

We recognise that our suppliers are a key part of the service we provide to our customers, and are committed to treating them fairly. We are therefore pleased to maintain our Corporate Certification for Ethical Procurement from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (“CIPS”).
