Tell us about your role and your current responsibilities…
I’m a Sales Manager at Close Brothers Leasing, Specialist Finance, where I work with introducers to structure complex lending solutions to Corporates and high net worth individuals. I specialise in the financing (and refinancing) of high value vehicles with lends of up to £20m.
What was your journey to Close Brothers Leasing, Specialist Finance?
I’ve been in the industry since around 2000 through roles with leading high street banks, retail clients and large corporates.
What is the process involved when structuring a deal?
We specialise in constructing ‘non-vanilla’ transactions - if it makes sense, then we will look to structure a solution for a customer.
What is the outlook like for Specialist Finance?
The future of my division is an exciting one as we continue to grow our business. We have a wealth of experience in the team and thanks to our approach in the market and flat decision-making structure, we are able to make decisions quickly, which is key in this fast-moving market.
What is it about working for Close Brothers Leasing, Specialist Finance that is different to your previous roles?
Although Close Brothers Leasing, Specialist Finance is a business of considerable stature, its ability to act quickly with a commercial mindset sets us apart from other places I’ve worked.
What’s your favourite part of the role?
The trust placed in me to do the right thing and deliver for my clients, introducers and the business.
